About

A ScanGov scorecard is a public status report that shows how a website meets established digital experience standards. It shows the site's overall grade and a grade for each indicator:

Accessibility
Botability
Readability
Security
Usability

The page follows your device's light or dark setting.

Why it matters

Visitors and reporters can see, in plain terms, how a site is performing
Public scores give teams a concrete, visible reason to fix known issues
Comparing scorecards over time shows whether a site is improving
Publishing the same standards for every site keeps the comparison fair

Turning your scorecard on or off

Each site has a Share page (in the site sidebar). A site's scorecard is on by default, which makes it publicly viewable at a shareable link, with no login required to view it.

Use the On and Off buttons below the scorecard link to change that.

The Share page has two things to copy:

Scorecard: the link to the site's scorecard
Post: ready-to-paste text with the scan date, number of pages, overall and topic grades, broken links, and the scorecard link

Use Share at the top of any page to copy the link, email it, or post it directly to LinkedIn, Bluesky, Mastodon, or X.
